This video was filmed at the University of Rhode Island in the Toray Commons of the engineering building. Bach’s 6th cello suite has sat in a central place of my musical life ever since I heard it nearly 20 years ago. It is one of my great joys to play this great music on a completely inappropriate instrument.

Sanctuary Church, in Providence, Rhode Island, has filmed a virtual stations of the cross, entitled “Good Friday – Stations of the Street.” The opening features my arrangement of the great Anglican hymn “Abide With Me.” While pastor Andrew Mook reads scripture, I accompany with two simple pads, both inspired by two of my original Vignettes for solo double bass.
